Social Household Electricity Tariff ( KOT)

Category K.O.T. A:

1. This category includes those who meet the criteria for receiving Social Solidarity Income (KEA):

i. The total value of the household's real estate cannot exceed 90.000€ for a single person household, plus 15.000€ for each additional member and up to 150.000€.

ii. The objective expenditure of the household's movable property (passenger cars and/or two-wheelers) may not exceed in total the amount of 6,000€.

iii. The total amount of income, up to six months prior to the submission of the application, cannot exceed the amounts in the table below. 

2. The provided discount on the price of electricity (competitive tariff) 75 EUR/MWh and exemption from grid usage charges (DEDDIE) and distribution charges (ADMIE). 

Category K.O.T. B:

1. This category includes those who meet the following income criteria:

For each additional adult member the amount of €4,500 is added and for each additional minor member the amount of €2,250, up to a total limit of €31,500 regardless of the number of household members.

To have themselves and their household members, based on the definitions in article 2 of G.D.5 of 2961-10 /24.1.2017 decision "Determination of the terms and conditions for the implementation of the Social Solidarity Income programme", real estate, in Greece or abroad, with a total taxable value, based on the calculation of the Single Property Tax (EN. The maximum amount of taxable income is €120,000 for a single person household, increased by €15,000 for each additional member and up to a maximum of €180,000.

Members of their household not to be subject to the provisions of the luxury tax and not to declare living expenses for salaries of yacht crews, tuition fees in private schools and for domestic helpers, car drivers, teachers and other staff, based on the last cleared income tax returns of the household members for which the deadline for submission set by the applicable provisions or extended in any way has expired.

2. For a household whose composition includes a person or persons with a disability of sixty-seven percent (67%) or more, the income limits in the above table shall be increased by eight thousand (8,000€).

3. For a household whose composition includes a person or persons in need of mechanical support using medical devices, which is provided at home and is necessary for their life, the income limits in the above table are increased by fifteen thousand (15,000€).

4. In this case the discount on the electricity price is 45 EUR/MWh, so that in the total tariff the discount is about 35%. Limits of quarterly consumption The limits of quarterly (120 days) consumption for billing with K.O.T. A and K.O.T. B are as follows

For each additional adult member, 200 kWh of consumption is added and for each additional minor member, 100 kWh of consumption is added, up to a total limit of 2,400 kWh, regardless of the number of household members.

For a household that includes a person or persons with a disability of sixty-seven percent (67%) or more, the above consumption limits shall be increased by 300 kWh.

For a household that includes in its composition a person or persons who need mechanical support using medical devices, provided at home and necessary for their life, the above consumption limits shall be increased by 600 kWh.
